Natalie is an ex-googler who worked in a variety of different roles during her 7 year tenure at Google. Some of the products she developed have been integrated into Google Adwords. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering in 2005 and then went on to get her MBA and graduated in 2009. She has a 3 year old daughter named Chloe, is an avid reader and a child at heart.
Little Miss Chloe is the inspiration behind Moonlite. With her love for bedtime shadow play, she forced her mom to think of a new way to read her books and stories that was interactive and fun.
As a lens designer and an optical engineer, Scott spent the early part of his career at Eastman Kodak and Corning Precision Lens working on a wide variety of products including mobile phone cameras, consumer and professional-grade projectors, and heads-up displays, among others. In 2007, Scott formed Moondog Optics, a boutique optical design company specializing in consumer cameras and VR/AR systems. In that time, he has been a key contributor to projects which were featured in Nature, listed as a “Must-Have Product” in Popular Science, and honored as one of the “50 Best Inventions of the Year” by Time. In 2013, he co-founded Moondog Labs, a cinema optics company focused on mobile filmmaking. Its flagship product is an anamorphic adaptor for the iPhone. Among other projects, it was used in the Sundance feature film Tangerine, voted one of the Top 10 films of 2015 by Time Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Indiewire. He is a named inventor on 17 patents, with several others pending.
Carl Mercier is co-founder and CEO at VarageSale, a mobile platform for buying and selling with neighbors, backed by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. He was previously founder and CEO at Defensio, a security suite for the social web. It was acquired by Websense Inc. (Nasdaq:WBSN) in 2009. Carl holds degrees in business management and sound engineering. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
